This course will give you the fundamental skills required to market effectively for a business using social media. It will introduce you to the vast world of marketing and help you understand the key principles behind it. You will learner all about using social media, why we use social media for a business and how to do so. You will develop an understanding of search engine optimisation and why it is important, how to make sure you are optimising content and how to increase your companies search engine rankings. Alongside all of the you will develop you writing skills as you will be required to create and publish content for the web, this will be in many forms such aas blogs, micro blogs, e-articles, posts and videos. You will learn the basics of HTML and CSS and develop an understanding of how websites works. You will be using various forms of collaborative technology to interact with your colleagues and your customers and you will learn very useful skills which will allow you to use these technologies efficiently.
You will develop page management skills and learn how to utilise a variety of management and monitoring tools such as hootsuite and tweetdeck. You will learn all about the key components of a marketing plan and be able to evaluate plans and improve them. You will then learn the principles of creating campaigns to fall in line with the marketing plan. You will be actively involved in mobile social media marketing and will learn how to use various devices such as phones, and tablets to help reach customers and improve engagement.
