Carry and Deliver Goods

This qualification is for delivery drivers who can demonstrate a level of competence in order to conduct their role effectively. In order to gain the qualification they must complete 6 mandatory units and 1 optional unit.

There are no formal entry requirements but candidates must be working in the appropriate environment.

Mandatory

• Contribute to effective working relationships
• Maintaining the safety and security of the load, self and property
• Contribute to the provision of customer services
• Complete the pre-journey and post-journey procedures
• Planning the route and timings for the delivery and collection of loads
• Transport goods and materials
  

Optional

• Handling goods and materials
• Handling goods (motorcycle and pedal cycle)
