Raising of the ‘Participation Age’ - What Does It Mean?

​The Government is raising the ‘participation age’ which means increasing the age to which all young people in England must continue in education or training, which will require them to continue until the end of the academic year in which they turn 17, from 2013, and until their 18th birthday from 2015.

Apprenticeship Levy

The new apprenticeship levy on employers will be introduced in April 2017 and will help fund employer apprenticeship schemes and reach the target of delivering three million apprenticeships by 2020.
