Joint Learning has again been successful in retaining the annual nationally recognised Matrix standard. The standard is awarded to organisations which offer high quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) services that support existing and prospective individuals with their career choices.
The Matrix standard is the unique quality mark which periodically assesses organisations to ensure they review, evaluate and develop their service; encourage the take up of professionally recognised qualifications and implement continuous professional development of their staff.
To achieve and retain the standard, organisations need to demonstrate compliance with four key elements within their IAG provision:
Leadership and Management, Resources, Service Delivery and Continuous Quality Improvement.
Joint Learning was audited in June by an external assessor who reviewed a portfolio of evidence and also gathered feedback from our staff, employers and learners who receive and provide Information, Advice and Guidance. In addition, the external assessor interviewed some of our partner organisations to determine whether IAG works effectively with local employers and agencies to support individuals in gaining the skills they require in the workplace.
A report will be published and available in the next 2 weeks which we will be using for areas of continuous improvement within our Self Assessment Report and Quality Improvement Plan.
