Study Programme

Your Career Academy is based in Liverpool City Centre and offers courses for 16-18 year olds. Our courses will give you the skills, confidence and opportunities to get your career started.

Creative Media Production

A fun and interactive course where you can learn the essential skills needed by employers in the Creative and Digital Media sector, including:

  • Photography and image editing
  • Video editing and digital publishing
  • Magazine development
  • Product development

Railway Maintenance

Work on our on-site track and learn the skills needed to progress within the rail industry, including:

  • Track maintenance
  • How to use different track equipment
  • Understanding track health and safety
  • Safe use of tools

Our qualifications can be tailored to your chosen occupation. You will develop practical construction skills to help you with your career, including:

  • Construction methods
  • Bricklaying skills
  • Product production
  • Construction drawing skills

Sport & Fitness

Choose from one of our sport and fitness courses, including Sports & Recreation, Health & Fitness or Fitness Instruction, where you will gain the skills and knowledge to work in the industry, including:

  • Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment

  • Planning and instructing gym based exercise

Apprenticeship Levy

The new apprenticeship levy on employers will be introduced in April 2017 and will help fund employer apprenticeship schemes and reach the target of delivering three million apprenticeships by 2020.
